Taking your Inuk for a walk

Taking your Inuk for a walk

Sticking Together, Even When You’re Apart

At INUK, our community cares about staying connected to the outside world and each other, especially at this moment in time. We’re all spending a lot of hours at home these days, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find creative ways to keep in touch with nature, activity and our outdoor buddies. We hope that everyday carry culture resonates with us as much as it does with you. Here are a few ideas:

Important note: Always listen to the most recent advice of your local health authority, as things are changing fast. These outdoor tips apply if you: don’t have symptoms of COVID-19, have not been diagnosed with COVID-19, have not travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days, or are not in a high-risk group

Give your gear some love

Do you remember the last time you cleaned your INUK backpack? Neither do we. Which is why now’s a good time to tackle those gear repair or cleaning projects that’s been in the back of your mind. Nothing’s more satisfying than restoring a piece of gear that would’ve otherwise gone to the landfill.

There is no right or wrong way of doing it, but here’s our suggestions:

To begin, please follow our manufacturer’s cleaning label located inside the main compartment of your backpack. In general, you can follow these guidelines:

What you will probably need:

  • Water/ sink
  • Soft sponge or cleaning cloth that will not damage your pack’s fabric
  • A mild cleaning solution or soap, preferably one for technical gear and clothing (regular soap works too)
  • A soft bristled brush

Now, keep it clean!!

Plan for your next best trip

They always say you want what you can't have, and because current travel advisories warn that we shouldn't really go anywhere, naturally we want to go EVERYWHERE.

The excitement that comes with researching a destination, planning a trip, experiencing a place, and meeting new people is always on our minds. It is the reason we drive ourselves each day to provide you with the best pack for your travel needs.

Here’s how we would pack and test our load for our next adventure:

Stay connected in other ways

Take care of yourselves and each other. We’re a community, even when we’re not outside together.
